Label System
Hacienda del Sol is a tequila brand rooted in the traditions and landscapes of Jalisco, Mexico, where generations of agave farmers have cultivated the land with patience, knowledge, and respect.
The project was conceived to capture the spirit of this heritage while translating it into a contemporary brand language capable of standing out in the premium tequila market.
The identity draws inspiration from the sun that nurtures the agave fields, symbolizing warmth, origin, and the passage of time that defines the tequila-making process.
The visual system centers around a distinctive sun motif that radiates from the core of the label, representing both the energy of the Mexican landscape and the journey of the agave from earth to bottle.
Typography is bold and expressive, referencing traditional Mexican print culture while maintaining a modern, structured composition.
Each tequila expression—Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo—features its own illustrative element, creating a collectible system that tells different stories from the hacienda while remaining unified under a single graphic language.
Studio Unika developed the brand identity, label architecture, and packaging system to create a cohesive and recognizable product range.
Through careful attention to typography, illustration, and materiality, the design celebrates the authenticity of the craft while elevating the tequila to a refined, contemporary brand experience.
